What is Keyboard?
A keyboard is an input device of a computer, which is
considered to be the first input device of the computer. By which a user can
place his order on the computer. This device is mostly used for typing. Through
this, you can write anything on the computer. Our computer never works without
data input, we can give the input data which is waiting for the computer to be
run from a keyboard or mouse device.
The keyboard is like a typewriter. It has all the keys as a
typewriter. The most commonly used keyboard is "Qwerty". USB cable is
used to connect the keyboard to the computer. It can also be connected with the
help of wireless or Bluetooth. The computer is instructed by pressing the keys
on the keyboard. The function of these keys varies. If the user wants to write
text, then he writes with the help of these keys.
Keyboard innovation
The history of the keyboard begins with the invention of
Typewriter. It was Christopher Latham Sholes who patented the first practical
modern typewriter in 1868. Due to several technological
improvements over time, typewriters gradually evolved into Standard Computer
Keyboard. The Qwerty Keyboard was first used in computers in 1878.

Types of Keyboard Keys
Function keys:-
Function Keys are located at the top of the keyboard, their
number is F1, F2, - - - - F12. Function
Keys are used to performing certain functions.
Navigation Keys:-
- Arrow Keys: - Arrow Keys are four- Up Arrow, Down Arrow, Left Arrow, and Right Arrow. They are used to move the Cursor and Webpage in the direction of Arrows.
- Home Key: - Home Key is used to bring the Cursor to the beginning of a document. With this help, a Webpage and Document can come at once.
- End Key: - The End Key is used to bring the Cursor to the end of a document. With the help of this, a webpage and document can go down at once.
- Insert Key: - Insert Key is used to turn on and off the Insert Mode.
- Delete Key: - The Delete Key is used to delete the text after the Cursor, the selected text, and the Files and Folder.
- Page Up Key: - Page Up Key is used to move the Cursor and a page upwards.
- Page Down Key: - Page Down Key is used to move the Cursor and a page down.
Control keys:-
- Esc Key: - Esc Key is used to cancel any currently running task. Its full name is Escape Key.
- Ctrl Key: - Ctrl Key full name is Control Key. It is used in Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Alt Key: - Alt key is full name Alter Key, it is also used in Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Window Logo Key: - This key is used to open the Start Menu.
- Menu Key: - Menu Key functions the same as Right Click of the mouse. It opens the options related to a selected program.
- Parts Key: - This key is used to take an image of a computer screen.
Typing keys:-
Typing Keys are the most commonly used. There are two Keys
((Alphabet and Numbers) under Typing Keys. Typing Keys are also called
Alphanumeric Keys, which include Symbols and Punctuation Marks.
Numeric keys:-
Numeric Keys are also known as many computer user Calculator
Keys. Numeric Keys look like a Calculator. The decoration of numeric keys is
similar to the key in the calculator. Because all these numeric keys (+, * 0,1
- 9,) are included in a Calculator. The number is typed in the computer
with the help of these keyboards. Numeric keys reside on computer keyboards but
they are not available in small size laptops.
Keyboard type
Wireless Keyboard:-
As the name suggests, it lacks a tail (cable). It uses
radiofrequency, Bluetooth, or infra rad technology. Portability is an important
feature of these computer keyboards. We can also use it by keeping away from a
desktop or laptop. If you have a strong Wi-Fi connection, you can also type by
sitting 50 meters away from your PC.
Standard keyboard:-
Most of the standard keyboards are used in our surroundings
such as school, office, bank, or home. I used this image to explain the

on a computer.
Mechanical keyboard :-
Under each of these buttons, Spring and Switch are used,
which we know as Mechanical Switches. Its advantage is that whenever you do Key
Press. So due to the spring in it, it pushes the fingers more backward. Which
gives your fingers a rest and you can do Fast Typing. They are more expensive
than Regular Keyboard.
Flexible Or Foldable Keyboards:-
This keyboard is made with a thin sheet of rubber and this Soft And Flexible Keyboard can be covered on any object, there is no harm when the Soft and Flexible Keyboard falls. This keyboard is more comfortable than a hard keyboard, now soft and flexible keyboards will not cause such problems.
Gaming and Multimedia Keyboard:-
If you want to play your computer games and entertain with music, video, then you will need this keyboard. To play the game in this keyboard, game directions are made on the keys so that you will be able to play the game easily. For music, there are extra buttons in it so that you can change the music forward or backward. Also, there are separate buttons for the volume. Such a keyboard is made to be used quite reliably because people playing the game use its buttons very fast.
Ergonomic Keyboard:-

It is a type of keyboard that includes multimedia buttons that help you control your media with just one tap. Dvorak: - In the year 1936, the Dvorak Keyboard Layout was presented by August Dvorak. This keyboard was designed for Speed Typing. In this, the key of Common Letters was put in such a way that they could be typed quickly. Most professional typewriters use these keyboard layouts.
Azerty: - This keyboard layout made in France is mostly used in France. In appearance, Bilkul is similar to Qwerty Layout but the first six letters in it are given in its name. Although they come in many versions.
Telemark: - This is a modern keyboard layout. This scientifically allows a Typewriter to type in Fast Speed. It is considered the Upgrade Version of Qwerty and Dvorak Keyboard Layout.

How many Function Keys are there on the keyboard?
